Very traditional Indian.

Queens Tandoor, in Seminyak, was the original Indian restaurant of any note to set up in Bali. Part of the Jakarta Queens Group, they attempt to produce the real taste of India, even importing their chillies and spices from India to make it as traditional as possible.  Vegetarians are well looked after as Indian cuisine offers more such dishes than any other, Aloo Chat is potatoes tossed with mint sauce, Dosa’s from southern India or Vegetable Chilli Kebabs, Onion Bahjia, or  vegetarian samosas and  frankies. The traditional curries are led by that luscious Chicken Tikka Makhanwala [pictured] better known as Butter Chicken, or you can have your chicken straight from the Tandoor, or that Goan special, marinated in vinegar, the very spicy Chicken Vindaloo. Not so spicy, then there is always the Korma or Kashmiri Chicken. Lamb dishes are headed by the ever popular Rogan Josh but I always like the Keema Mutter, minced lamb and green peas from the north of India. On the side an Onion Nan or a Mint Paratha. There are many rice combos to accompany your meal, for me a Kashmiri Pulao. If you want a rice meal you can not go past the wonderful Biryanis. To be very Indian, the drink you have with your meal is a Lassi.
