A Peach of a restaurant!

Peachy, is new on Jln. Subak, Canggu. Their offering is of a mix of Mediterranen and Middle Eastern. A large range of tasty small plates, the way I love to eat, turns snacking into an art form. Slipper Lobster with tarragon and cured egg, Beetroot gravlax salmon with pickled onon and labneh, Crispy skinned duck with a spicy BBQ sauce, Smoked coral trout, aoili, capers and dill, Octopus, harissa, zhoug and baby potatoes, all tickle the taste buds. We were introduced to those wonderful betel leaves when Thai cuisine hit the world market. At Peachy a new version with beef kofta, muhammara and pickled onion on betel. Almost all of the small plates are priced under Rp.100,000. The few above such as their blue clawed prawn with fermented chilli, well worth it. Mains are few and all best shared to mantain a variety of taste. Lamb shoulder, Rib eye or a Tempura of Cauliflower, harissa and labneh. The dessert offering is small but what a pleasant change to find something new. A white chocolate Pavlova with peach liqueur or a Cheesecake mille feuille with caramel. Something new and interesting in the ever changing food scene of Canggu.
