The Beach.....

Seafood on the Beach......

By day, it may not be very inspiring! The row of simple, wooden tables nestle into the hard sand of the upper beach. As dusk approaches, white table clothes are added, then candles. Take your seats and order your pre-dinner drinks as the red solar ball starts its ever-quickening journey downwards, to the far horizon. Soon to be swallowed by the sea, as you are suddenly plunged into darkness.

The magic of sunset on the island of Bali!

Suddenly, in the stillness of night, you begin to hear the waves crash upon the sand, only metres from where you sit. In moments you have been transported from a simple table on the beach to the romantic outdoor setting of The Beach.

Whether you order seafood or meats, your hunger will soon be sated. The air is full of smells from the barbecue, which increase that hunger and sharpen your senses.

Time for another drink!

The Beach, at The Balihai, is famous for its Seafood Platter. At less than Rp.100,000 per person, its value is quite amazing!

Lobster, Jumbo River Prawns, Sea Prawns, Snapper [both red and white], Garoupa and Calamari adorn a large oval plate. You will think that you will never finish it all, but the salty sea air does wonders for your appetite.

Alternately an array of fresh seafood can be ordered individually, priced by the kilo, and barbecued to perfection just behind where you sit.

A variety of meats are also available. Pork Spare Ribs that have been marinated before being grilled or whatever cut of beef that you desire [T-Bone, Sirloin, Rump, Rib Eye or Tenderloin].

This is the perfect place to sit, sip your drinks, and slowly demolish the giant plate of food in front of you. All the time the surf keeps pounding onto the beach just down from your table, and the cooling sea breezes become nature?s air-conditioning.

You begin to think about, and plan, your next holiday to Bali!
